no excuses

Not sure why I’ve given up posting these last few months. It’s been busy, but no busier than normal. And isn’t life always busy? I don’t really have any excuses for my silence. In fact, I’ve captured some images along the way that I should have shared, but just haven’t made the time to do so. And honestly I’m not quite sure why I’m sharing them now (other than the fact that I really do love my clients and love to show off their families). Along the way it may be a little random, a little out of order, but hopefully I’ll share just enough to get back on track.

So, on that note, I loved this sweet family from this Spring. It was my first time to do a session with them and the ‘the girl with the curls’ was such a doll. I think you’ll agree.;)

the light

There is nothing quite like the light of Spring. Highlighting the beauty of the season. Bringing light to the new life springing up from the ground. Shining through a little girl’s curls and making them magical. I’m trying to soak in every minute of this season before it slips away….

Sandi - These are so pretty Miss Kelly!

let it shine – habitat for humanity auction

Beginning today and ending TOMORROW, the lovely ladies at Matilda Jane are hosting an auction to benefit Habitat for Humanity where all the proceeds will go towards building a home for someone in need.

I loved this statement of faith from the Habitat website:

“Habitat’s ministry is based on the conviction that to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, we must love and care for one another. Our love must not be words only— it must be true love, which shows itself in action. Habitat provides an opportunity for people to put their faith and love into action. We bring diverse groups of people together to make affordable housing and better communities a reality for everyone.”

I donated a session to the auction with hope that together we can make a difference in the lives of a deserving family. That one small act of kindness can impact the lives of those in need. And that our light will just be of reflection of His great light into a dark world.

If you were considering a session with me sometime this year, would you please consider bidding on this auction? The highest bidder will receive a session and disk of images valued at $595.

Sandi - Beautiful in every way!

all things new

This sweet little girl arrived just in time to see the coming of Spring.  Which means her family not only got to witness new life springing up everywhere and transforming the outdoor landscape into something beautiful, they also got to experience one tiny new life transforming everything indoors into something extraordinary.  I can think of nothing sweeter.

Natalie Graham - I can’t believe I am just now seeing this! Such amazing photos, Kelly. I am so thankful to have them. And that is just the way I feel about spring. Both my children were born in March and I feel so lucky to see all the new happiness everywhere!
